Biography: William G. Messamore M.D./PhD - Arthroscopic Surgery of the Hip, Knee, & Shoulder, General Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports MedicineDr. Messamore is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee and shoulder. He earned his undergraduate, graduate and medical degrees at the University of Kansas.Dr. Messamore completed his residency training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita and returned to Kansas City once again to complete his fellowship training in Sports Medicine with the University of Kansas Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship and enjoyed the experience of working with athletes on his favorite teams, the Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.Will is a Jayhawk through and through, born and raised in Wichita and graduate of Wichita Collegiate School. Dr. Messamore completed his PhD research in Neurophysiology and has had numerous publications associated with that research as well as extensive orthopaedic research throughout residency and fellowship.Dr. Messamore enjoys working with athletes at all levels from aspiring professionals to weekend warriors. Whether you need to get back to work or get back on the field, he believes in working with patients and developing a treatment plan that meets their needs and goals.He maintains memberships in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Kansas Medical Society, and the Medical Society of Sedgwick County.

Biography: Dr. Sarah Schippers is a board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. She obtained both undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Kansas before completing an orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Schippers then completed the Minnesota Hand Fellowship in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Dr. Schippers was drawn to hand surgery because of its combination of complex anatomy, ability to treat patients of all ages and opportunity to restore function after injury.A member of the Kansas Medical Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Medical Society of Sedgwick County, and American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Dr. Schippers serves on the staff of Via Christi Health System, Wesley Medical Center, Kansas Spine and Specialty Hospital, Kansas Surgery and Recovery Center, and Surgery Center of Kansas.After growing up in western Sedgwick County, Dr. Schippers is thrilled to be back practicing in the community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 young children, cheering on the Jayhawks, and long-distance running.
