Biography: Dr. Niemeier is an orthopedic spine surgeon who provides consultation and treatment for patients with all spinal disorders. Dr. Niemeier earned a bachelor's degree at Clemson University before attending medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center where he was selected as the Kurt Niemann Most Outstanding Resident. Biography: Dr. Shelley was born and raised in Savannah and attended Savannah Country Day School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Furman University where he majored in biology and graduate with honors. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA, where he graduated in the top of his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He also completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia, scoring the highest in the country on the orthopedic resident in-training exam during his final year of residency. He then completed a fellowship in Hip and Knee Reconstruction at the Norton Orthopaedic Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. Biography: Dr. Wheeler graduated from the University of Georgia before receiving his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He then attended the University of Florida where he completed his internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. He has also completed two Sports Medicine fellowships after residency. His fellowships were at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and at North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre in Sydney, Australia.Dr. Wheeler has been very involved in local, state, national and international Sports Medicine, including the 1996 Olympic Games and seven World Championship events. Biography: Dr. Hoffman specializes in the treatment of shoulder and knee problems, including shoulder and knee arthroscopy, knee ligament reconstruction, and shoulder and knee replacement surgery. He is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals.
