Biography: Medicine is a second career for Dr. Nathan Givens, one that he finds very fulfilling and one that provides the teamwork that he he felt was missing in his first job. He feels fortunate to participate in some of the most amazing and challenging moments in women's lives. Obstetrics and gynecology is a specialty that allows Dr. Givens to establish lasting relationships with his patients. He loves everything from counseling adolescents and young couples about contraception and preventive care, to helping women with abnormal bleeding and pelvic pain, and working closely with families to welcome their new babies. Biography: Dr. Avery-Benjamin's experiences as a young teen on the labor and delivery floor in a hospital volunteer program helped shape her passion for providing excellent care for women and children. During her residency, she received awards for excellence in teaching and administration, as well as an award from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists for special excellence in endoscopic procedures. Dr. Avery is interested in teen and young woman wellness, preventive healthcare and minimally invasive surgery techniques. In her free time, Dr. Avery enjoys spending time with her husband, Derek, and their daughter, traveling, relaxing on the beach, reading, listening to music and participating in community service.

Biography: As the daughter of a cardiologist father and ICU nurse mother, I have always had a love of medicine and caring for people. Putting others first was always a priority for me and my family. \n I fell in love with obstetrics and gynecology in residency, where I learned I could get to know a patient throughout their lifetime. I could be with them through the milestones of first menstrual period, pregnancies and even surgical management, if needed. Being an ob-gyn lets me do it all -from delivering babies to hysterectomies and everything in between. I am so blessed to be able to maintain a relationship with, and take care of, women and their families for life. \n I strive to treat each patient as an individual with care specialized for them, but also as I would treat any member of my family. Seeing an ob-gyn, especially for the first time, can be scary and I want to make it as comfortable and easy as possible. \n At home, I am a wife and a mother of two boys and a Bernedoodle puppy. I love exercising, my Peloton bike and spending time outside with my family and friends.
