Care Philosophy: Dr. Jennifer Murdock is a native Houstonian, excited to return home to join Drs. Patrinely and Soparkar in practice at the prestigious Plastic Eye Surgery Associates, PLLC. Dr. Murdock has always had an interest in both the arts and science and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Marine Science at the University of Miami while minoring in art history after studying in Paris. She also learned the intricacies of conducting clinic research, studying novel laser, injectable, and surgical techniques within UMs Department of Cosmetic Medicine. While completing her medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Murdock participated in the Department of Community Service (DOCS), which provided free medical screening to many underprivileged communities in South Florida. She also worked with a professional director and film crew to create a documentary series about the culture, medical needs, and health care gaps within these diverse communities. Dr. Murdock returned to Houston to complete a residency in ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine, where she delved further into education by teaching medical trainees in both didactic and hands-on settings. She was then selectively chosen from a highly competitive group of applicants to join the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with a fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University, where she performed thousands of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, eyelids, and orbit in both adults and children alike. Dr. Jennifer Murdock is currently a board-certified ophthalmologist with a specialization in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery. She has a particular interest in aesthetic procedures, eyelid and orbital reconstruction, pediatric ophthalmic plastic surgery, and complicated orbital inflammatory disorders, including thyroid eye disease.
