Biography: Yong Zhan, MD graduated from China Medical University in Shenyang, China. After completing a surgical residency at the University Hospital of China Medical University, he moved to Boston. He went on to pursue research fellowships at University of Massachusetts Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. He then completed a surgical residency at New York Methodist Hospital of Weill Cornell Medical College, followed by cardiothoracic surgery training at Brigham and Women's Hospital. In addition, Dr. Zhan obtained training in endovascular surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Zhan is board certified in cardiothoracic surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He specializes in adult cardiac surgery.
