Biography: Dr. David Macias specializes in foot and ankle surgery. When an injury ended his high school freshman soccer season, his orthopedic surgeon took great care of him. Besides being a great physician, the surgeon was a great person and inspired Dr. Macias to pursue a career in medicine. That experience, coupled with his undergraduate studies in biological engineering, made orthopedic surgery a perfect fit. In his free time, Dr. Macias enjoys playing with his wife and children, traveling, woodworking, and Mississippi State athletics.

Biography: Dr. Aaron Gebrelul is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement of the hip and knee. He has particular expertise in robotic-assisted surgery as well as minimally-invasive techniqueswhich allow for more personalized care and rapid recovery. After graduating magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Gebrelul began his medical training at Emory University in Atlanta. He then excelled as an Orthopaedic Surgery resident physician at the University of TexasSouthwestern in Dallas, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. During his final year, he received both the G. Truett James and Vert Mooney awards, which are given annually to the most academically accomplished resident. Dr. Gebrelul then moved on to complete his fellowship training at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, where he learned alongside internationally recognized leaders in the field of hip and knee replacements.During his career, Dr. Gebrelul has been active in research and has published numerous studies, abstracts, and book chapters addressing various aspects of hip and knee replacements. He has had his work presented at national meetings, and he is a fellow member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS).Dr. Gebrelul's surgical focus includes direct anterior (DA) total hip replacements, minimally-invasive partial and total knee replacements, fracture care, and complex revision surgeries. Dr. Gebrelul utilizes cutting edge technology, such as robotic assistance, computer navigation, and intraoperative X-ray to maximize accuracy and precision in the operating room.Dr. Gebrelul is family-oriented and spends his free time barbequing, playing with his niece and nephew, and watching LSU football with his fiance, Eden.The core tenet of my practice is helping patients return to a pain-free, active lifestyle. Biography: Dr. Gallagher is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in trauma, reconstruction, joint replacement and sports injuries around the foot and ankle. He received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and attended Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine in Philadelphia for his medical education. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland during which time he also spent time at Johns Hopkins Hospital and University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Dr. Gallagher manages a broad scope of conditions of the foot and ankle, including both primary and revision ankle replacement, as well as all forms of trauma such as tibial pilon, ankle, calcaneal, talus fractures and Achilles tendon injuries.He is a member of the American Academy of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (AOFAS) where he was chosen to serve on the Research Committee. Through this position, he remains on the cutting edge of foot and ankle research across the country. He has presented his research at national conferences and has published book chapters and scientific articles in journals including The American Journal of Sports Medicine.Dr. Gallagher utilizes cutting edge techniques including patient-specific-instrumentation for ankle arthroplasty, which uses a CT scan and a personalized plan to ensure a more reliable and efficient replacement. Additionally, he performs a minimally invasive approach to multiple conditions including Achilles injuries, bunion correction and hindfoot reconstruction.Dr. Gallagher's priority is to find strategies that keep his patients on their feet. He believes that one of the most important determinants of health is the ability to stay active.
