Care Philosophy: Patient care is the most important aspect of my practice. I like to treat the patient as a whole and take in consideration there concerns about thier treatment. We set up telemed visits for our patients, we have office visits and procedures in office, we have a PA that work along with me to assist with patients so there is not a long wait list to get an appointment. My staff is highly qualified to answer any questions the patient may have and they are all bilingual.

Biography: Vipul Patel, MD, FACS, is the director of the Global Robotics Institute at AdventHealth Celebration. He leads one of the world's most experienced robotic surgery teams and travels around the world to educate physicians and care for patients. He is the editor emeritus of The Journal of Robotic Surgery and editor of the first-ever robotic urology textbook. Dr. Patel is world-renowned for his contribution to the field of robotic surgery and is committed to personalized patient care and quality outcomes. He is one of the most experienced robotic surgeons in the world and has personally performed over 16,000 robotic prostatectomies. In addition, Dr. Patel is the medical director of the AdventHealth Celebration Cancer Institute Urologic Oncology Program. He is a professor of urology at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando, Florida, and a clinical associate professor of urology at Nova Southeastern University, also in Orlando. He is the founder of the International Prostate Cancer Foundation (IPCF) and a founding member of the Society of Robotic Surgery. He serves as an honorary professor at the University of Milan, Korea University and Ricardo Palma University in Lima, Peru, and was recently made an honorary professor of the Russian Academy of Science. Biography: David Melendez is a board-eligible urologist with HCA Florida Osceola Urology. Using robotic surgery and other advanced treatments, Dr. Melendez cares for patients with diseases and conditions of the male urinary tract and reproductive system. Some of these include cancers of the kidney and prostate, incontinence, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico followed by an internship at New York Medical College in Valhalla. Dr. Melendez then completed general surgery residencies at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and New York Medical College's Westchester Medical Center. He finished his postdoctoral training with a urology residency at St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. Early in his residency, Dr. Melendez developed a strong interest in sexual medicine and men's health. Following his residency, he completed a clinical fellowship in Men's Health and Urological Prosthetics at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York. The fellowship included extensive surgical training in a minimally invasive solution for erectile dysfunction. Biography: Richard I. Silver, M.D. is a board certified Urologist caring for patients in Kissimmee, Florida. Dr. Silver was born in New York City and was raised in New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Science at Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at The University of Chicago, where he again graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Silver then trained as a resident in urology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. In addition to five years of surgical training, he spent a year performing laboratory research on 5alpha-reductase type 2, an enzyme responsible for both normal genitourinary development and abnormal growth of the prostate. He was the first in the world to develop and perform experiments to show the exact location of the enzyme in both benign and malignant prostate tissue, which was a milestone discovery. After his residency, Dr. Silver spent an additional two years in training as a fellow in pediatric urology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he performed complex reconstructive procedures on younger patients, conducted laboratory and clinical research on hypospadias and the exstrophy-epispadias complex, and contributed significant original reports to the urology literature. He has published 35 peer reviewed papers and 13 book chapters. Dr. Silver enjoys all aspects of urology and caring for patients with a wide variety of urologic problems. Biography: Dr. Bogdana Trop is board certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care. She received training at University of Belgrade Medical School and completed her general surgery internship with Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami Medical School. Dr. Trop moved on to her general surgery residency at University of Nebraska Medical Center, then to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center for her surgical critical care fellowship. She is a member of Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma. Her primary areas of interest are trauma and critical care, as well as thyroid and colon procedures.




Care Philosophy: Rahila Essani, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is board-certified colorectal surgeon. Dr Essani earned her medical degree from the Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed three research fellowships at the University of Southern California, where she also completed her internship and residency in surgery. She finished a second residency in general surgery. She completed her colorectal surgery fellowship program at Grant Medical Center, Ohio. She also completed a fellowship in advanced management of rectal cancer at Lankenau Hospital, PA. Dr Essani developed the rectal cancer program and the robotic general and colorectal program at Baylor Scott and White Clinic in Temple, Texas.
