Biography: Carlos Palacio, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon with Coastal New Hampshire Neurosurgeons and sees patients in Portsmouth as well as at Advanced Spine and Orthopedics in Gilford, New Hampshire. Dr. Palacio earned his medical degree at Northwestern University Medical Center and completed his residency in general neurosurgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He then completed specialized training in pediatric neurosurgery at Children's Memorial Hospital, in Chicago, where he served as chief resident. Prior to medical school, Dr. Palacio earned his undergraduate degree at the College of the Holy Cross. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and has more than 40 years of experience in the field of neurosurgery. Dr. Palacio is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. In 1987, he co-founded Coastal New Hampshire Neurosurgeons, the first comprehensive neurosurgical program of its kind in the region. Dr. Palacio provides advanced neurosurgical diagnoses, individualized treatment options, and recovery plans related to conditions of the brain, spine, and peripheral nervous system. Dr. Palacio is fluent in English and Spanish.

Biography: Anthony Lapinsky, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with Advanced Spine and Orthopedics in Rochester and Gilford, New Hampshire. Dr. Lapinsky earned his Doctor of Medicine at Health Science Center in Syracuse, New York, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency with Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. He then completed a pediatric orthopedic and scoliosis fellowship at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas, and an adult reconstructive spinal surgery at Beth Israel-Deaconess in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition, he received a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where he graduated cum laude.Dr. Lapinsky is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and brings over 25 years of expertise in providing state-of-the-art orthopedic care. He specializes in orthopedic surgeries for degenerative and traumatic conditions, including least invasive robotic assisted joint replacement. In addition, he provides comprehensive fracture management for adults and children, including surgery for general orthopedic and spine care. Dr. Lapinsky retired as a lieutenant colonel of the United States Army Reserve after 20 years of service. He currently serves as a clinical assistant professor of Surgery Orthopedics with the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and an assistant professor of Surgery at Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine with Quinnipiac University. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. In addition, Dr. Lapinsky is an active member of the North American Spine Society and Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America as well as a panel member of the State of Maine Board of Medical Malpractice.When not caring for patients, Dr. Lapinsky enjoys ocean sports and winter sports.
