Biography: Periodontist Dr. Edward I. Jutkowitz received a degree in BioMedical Engineering from Northwestern University in 1981. In 1985 he received a D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a General Practice Residency in 1986 at Downstate/Kings County Hospitals in Brooklyn. His specialty training in Periodontics was done at Columbia University and he received his specialty certification in 1988. Dr. Jutkowitz has taught at Columbia University and at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. He has lectured on various topics including periodontal disease and its treatment, implant dentistry and associated surgical procedures and bone regenerative techniques. Dr. Jutkowitz's specific interests lie in regeneration and rehabilitation of the oral cavity. He is actively involved with other clinicians (including physicians) in the total care of the patient.
