Biography: Dr. Thomas Knutson is a board-certified physician specializing in the treatment of knee, shoulder and hip injuries. He attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he completed his Medical Degree and Residency in Orthopedics. Upon finishing his residency, Dr. Knutson went on to complete a fellowship in Major Joint Reconstruction at the University of California San Diego. (His fellowship emphasized arthroscopic cases involving predominantly knees and shoulders. ) Dr. Cohen also served as a Chief Resident at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston performing joint replacement surgery. He grew up in Boston and graduated with honors from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Balikian completed his medical school and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, in Worcester MA. Dr. Balikian lives in San Diego with his wife and two children. Prior to joining Arch Health Medical Group in 2006, he was in private practice in Kentucky for 6 years. A native of Escondido, California, Dr. Owsley graduated from San Pasqual High School and went on to receive dual degrees in Philosophy and Zoology from Brigham Young University. He received his Medical Doctorate with honors from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York and remained in New York for his residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Upon graduating from residency, Dr. Owsley completed a sports medicine fellowship at the prestigious Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. Biography: Dr. James Bried is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and adult reconstructive surgery. He has been active in developing innovative techniques for minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Bried is an active member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He has served as the president of the Western Orthopedic Association, San Diego Chapter. Dr. Bried is a member of the clinical faculty at UCSD and has been an instructor at the San Diego Shoulder Association. He was selected as one of America's Top Orthopedists. Dr. Bried graduated with honors at the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as his Medical Doctorate.
