Care Philosophy: Dr. Eon Shin possesses a deep enthusiasm for the practice of hand surgery, not only for the concrete, three-dimensional thinking needed to understand the upper extremitys function, but because of the immediacy of the interventions and the capacity to enhance peoples lives in a significant way. Interventions are sometimes as simple as a corticosteroid injection into a tendon sheath. Other patients may need multiple reconstructive surgeries to regain use of a damaged limb. Biography: James S. Raphael, MD, is the Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, and Director of the Hand Surgery Program at Einstein Medical Center. Dr. Raphael specializes in the treatment of chronic and traumatic conditions of the hand, wrist and elbow. He is regionally recognized for his proficiency in today's most advanced orthopedic surgery procedures, including arthroscopy, microsurgery, replantation, free-tissue transfer, nervesurgery and reconstruction. Dr. Raphael co-chairs the Research Program in the Department of Orthopedics at Einstein Healthcare Network and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. Biography: Dr. Lee is a part of Einstein Regional Orthopaedics and She is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and surgery of the hand by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. She sees patients with orthopedic problems of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Dr. Sue Lee is a considerate and dedicated orthopedic surgeon serving the communities of Philadelphia and Elkins Park, PA. Dr. Lee attended Temple University, where she received her medical degree, and completed her internship at Abington Memorial Hospital. She then completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at Temple University Hospital and her fellowship in hand surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Lee is devoted to ensuring the longevity of her patients' health and developing long-lasting relationships with them. She takes her time to understand symptoms and give correct diagnoses to ensure the continued health of all her patients.
