Biography: Ali is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in both acute care of the adult population as well as family practice. Originally from Illinois, she moved to Colorado 10 years ago in pursuit of her nursing career. She started as an operating room nurse in 2014 and eventually became the Orthopedic Trauma Team Coordinator with both HCA HealthONE Swedish Main OR in Englewood and Yampa Valley Medical Center's OR in Steamboat Springs. Ali has been passionate about orthopedics since the beginning of her career, ultimately guiding her decision to earn her Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner in 2021. At that time, she started her advanced practice position with HCA HealthONE Mountain Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons as a surgical NP by assisting in complex orthopedic surgeries as well as providing both inpatient and outpatient care. Ali's dedication to patient care combined with her efficiency, leadership, motivation, and collaborative attitude has made her an exceptional asset to the HCA HealthONE Mountain Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons team

Care Philosophy: Dr. Thon works with all of his patients to develop a treatment plan that is specifically tailored for each individual. Surgery is considered only when all non-operative measures have failed and/or surgery will achieve the best long-term outcome for each patient.
