He attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and orthopedic surgery residency at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. He then pursued additional training in hip and knee replacement as an Otto Aufranc Fellow at The New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA, an internationally renowned hip and knee replacement center, where he was trained and mentored by some the world's best joint replacement surgeons.
