Southwestern Eye Center doctors provides state-of-the-art LASIK to Phoenix, Mesa, Sedona and the surrounding communities. We also provide comprehensive optometry and ophthalmology services, including subspecialty procedures in vitreoretinal disease, oculoplastics, cornea disease, glaucoma, refractive procedures, low vision aids and ocular prosthetics. Dr. Steve Kopp received his Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in 1991 and his bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and Biology from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho in 1987. He will be seeing patients at the Sun City office working with the practice's cataract, cornea, glaucoma and retinal specialist on preoperative and postoperative care. Prior to joining our practice, he was practicing in the west valley and Kingman. Before coming to Arizona, Dr. Kopp practiced in Tri-Cities Washington with a retinal group specializing in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and posterior segment diseases. Dr. Kopp also was in private practice in central Oregon focusing on geriatric care for rural communities. He is an active member of the Arizona Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. During his spare time, he enjoys taking short weekend trips exploring Arizona and its diverse culture with his wife and a yorkie poo named Sadie. He enjoys mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and keeping track of the lives of 8 grown children and 15 grandkids.

Care Philosophy: Dr, Christopher Wong was born and raised in California. He graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, where he was a recipient of the Turner and Trustee Scholarships\nDr. Wong furthered his optometric education by completing a residency in ocular disease, with an emphasis on glaucoma and retina, at the Manchester VA Medical Center in New Hampshire.\nHe is a current member of the Arizona Optometric Association and American Academy of Optometry.\nDr. Wong enjoys attending national optometry meetings, spending time with his dog and girlfriend, bowling, and watching Formula 1.
