Care Philosophy: Being an Obstetrician-gynecologist, I hold the unique position and distinct privilege to know women and their families well, to share with them moments of pure joy, true loss, and everything in between. As a mother of two, I am fortunate enough to have experienced the patient side of obstetrics and gynecology myself. In each scenario, I aim to create an accepting atmosphere with open communication in which we can develop a trusting relationship. My goal with every patient is to listen completely to the patient's goals and concerns and use these as a basis for having honest discussions so that we may arrive at an evidence-based plan that is tailored exactly to each woman.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Yates considers it her greatest honor to walk with women through every phase of life, from adolescence all the way through menopause, and through times of great joy and loss. She is passionate about providing excellent, evidence-based clinical care and enabling each patient in her office to take control of their own health.

Biography: Dr. Sophia Kantemyr is a board-eligible OB/GYN specialist practicing at OB/GYN Summit located in Hermitage, TN. Dr. Kantemyr earned her medical degree from the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women in Memphis, TN. She was raised in Ukraine in a large family of doctors, and from a very young age, felt that medicine was her calling. After completing her medical education, she moved to the United States, where she underwent her residency training in Memphis, Tennessee. During her time in Memphis, she developed a deep affection for the warmth and charm of the people and culture in the Volunteer State, which ultimately led her family to make a permanent home in TN. Dr. Kantemyr is married and has a baby boy and beloved Aussie. Her family enjoys cooking, traveling and exploring the outdoors together.

Biography: Katherine Atwood, FNP-BC, is a board certified family nurse practitioner with Centennial Women's Group Summit OBGYN, providing obstetrics and gynecology care at both of the group's practice locations in Hermitage and Lebanon, Tennessee. She is also affiliated with Summit Medical Center.Ms. Atwood specialized in the care of women of all ages. She provides a wide range of services from well-woman examinations, contraceptive management and pregnancy care to menopausal management and treatments for acute and chronic conditions.Ms. Atwood earned her undergraduate degree from Cumberland University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Middle Tennessee State University.
