Biography: Dr. Shoaf is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist specializing in Mood Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Sleep Disorders and Forensics (legal, custody, and court-related matters). In his practice, Dr. Shoaf emphasizes the importance of whole health in a goal-oriented approach. Dr. Shoaf has extensive experience in psychopharmacology, has been the Principal Investigator of more than thirty clinical trials while serving on faculty and teaching at the University of Chicago and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He also served as Senior Medical Director of Clinical Research and Development in a global biopharmaceutical company. Biography: Dr. Mahreen Ahmed takes her time to gather a detailed history of each patient’s symptoms, development, and family before making a diagnosis and treatment plan. Dr. Ahmed’s goal is for patients to participate in their treatment plan, feel comfortable asking questions, and be empowered with information, tools, and psychoeducation to use in real-world situations. A fun fact she wants people to know is that the human brain has enough memory to store all the information on the internet.
