Prior to the above position he was Assistant Professor of Neuro Oncology / Neurology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida for 5 years (2004-2009). He was also here Attending Faculty in the Neuro Oncology Program at Moffitt Cancer Center and Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, Florida. He completed his Neuro Oncology Fellowship at the University of Calgary, Tom Baker Cancer Center, Foothill's Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (2003-2004). He completed his Neurology Residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio and Weston, Florida (2000-2003). He prior to this completed Internship Transition Year Residency at the Thomas Jefferson Health System Frankford Hospital, Philadelphia, PA (1999-2000). Dr. Chowdhary was born in London, Ontario, Canada and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is an Associate Professor of Neuro Oncology and Neurology at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, Florida Atlantic University.

After his fellowship, Dr Peguero was employed at The Watson Clinic, Department of Neurology, Lakeland, Florida, where he also served as Chief of Service of Neurology at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Dr Peguero was an Assistant Professor at Ponce School of Medicine, and most recently, he has worked in private practice. Dr Peguero's clinical interest is in General Neurology, Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology.

Care Philosophy: Dr Sepideh Mokhtari is an Assistant Member in the Department of Neuro-Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Mokhtari received her medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine in Temple, TX. She completed a Neurology Residency at Houston Methodist Hospital, where she also served as Chief Resident. She most recently completed a Neuro-Oncology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr Mokhtari's clinical interests are primarily in brain tumors and neurologic complications of cancer. Her research focus is neurologic complications of immunotherapy and paraneoplastic syndromes.

Care Philosophy: Dr Piva earned her MD from the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine, where she also completed her Residency in Neurology. She recently completed a Neuro-Oncology Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Piva has over 40 peer-reviewed publications, has written Investigator Initiated Trials (IIT), and submitted a grant during her Fellowship at Moffitt. Her main clinical and translational research focus will be to develop a program and specialization in onco-neurology. This program will seek to understand, prevent and treat the neurologic complications of immunotherapies such as CAR-T cell Therapy and Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors.

Care Philosophy: Dr McMullen is a member of the Department of Head and Neck - Endocrine Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. She completed her medical school and residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Subsequently, she completed a comprehensive fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Reconstruction at the University of Toronto. During her training, she received recognition for her clinical and research activities, including the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center Outstanding House Officer Award. She is committed to institutional and specialty service, with the goal of improving the quality of patient care delivered to head and neck cancer patients.

Care Philosophy: Dr Kristen Otto earned her medical degree from the University of South Florida. She completed an Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery residency at Emory University. Dr Otto also completed a fellowship at the University of Toronto with a focus in Head & Neck Surgical Oncology/Microvascular Reconstruction. Prior to joining Moffitt, Dr Otto served as Division Chief of Head & Neck Surgery, Assistant Professor, and Otolaryngology Residency Program Director for University of Mississippi Medical Center. While there, she was awarded Faculty Teacher of the Year by the University of Mississippi Department of Otolaryngology and Communicative Sciences.
