Outside of work, Dr. Avery enjoys spending time with family, recreational league soccer, hiking and camping.

Care Philosophy: Ani Fleisig, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon with additional fellowship training in minimally invasive/laparoscopic surgical techniques and surgical oncology. She believes in treating each patient with respect and compassion, working with the patient on his or her road to recovery. Dr. Fleisig specializes in surgery for a broad range of cancers from breast, skin, thyroid and gastrointestinal cancer to sarcomas.

Biography: Erina Kansakar, MD, FACS, is a general surgeon who practices evidence-based medicine, offers current treatment options including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery, and strives for excellent patient outcomes. She serves adults and children eight years of age and older. _x000D_ Dr. Kansakar treats patients as she would wish to be treated - with professionalism, knowledge and compassion. She believes in holistic patient care. Her goal is to ensure that treatment plans and outcomes for every patient are well communicated to referring providers. _x000D_ Dr. Kansakar is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Breast Surgeons and American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Biography: Blake Wachi, MD, is a general surgeon who is committed to forming strong relationships with his patients through high-quality, evidence-based surgical care. He is experienced with minimally invasive techniques and believes in their benefits, including less pain, quicker recovery and shorter hospital stays. For patients, and their families, he strives to be as approachable and accessible as possible.Dr. Wachi is a member of the American College of Surgeons.Away from work, he enjoys backpacking, volleyball, skiing and photography.
