Care Philosophy: Dr. Whipple has a specific interest in the primary care of cancer survivors, as well as patients with active cancer. Much of her research focuses on the relationship between cancer and the treatment of chronic diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, depression, and anxiety.

Biography: Caitlin Farmer, APRN, is a certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with Beacon Internal Medicine in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Ms. Farmer received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honors from University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. She then earned her Master of Science in Nursing at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with a focus on Adult Gerontology Primary Care.Ms. Farmer is nationally board-certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Adult Gerontology Primary Care and has additional training in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). She is a member of The Golden Key Society and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.Ms. Farmer is committed to providing exceptional patient care and is excited to be part of the Beacon Internal Medicine team.

Biography: Maureen Verbil, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant with Beacon Internal Medicine in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Ms. Verbil earned her MPS in Physician Assistant from Mercy College in Westchester, New York, after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Queens College in Flushing, New York. Ms. Verbil is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has over 20 years of experience in healthcare. She provides comprehensive primary care services, including routine physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and chronic disease management. Ms. Verbil has extensive experience in specialties including gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynecology, vascular surgery, cardiology, as well as allergy and immunology. She is currently working on her certification in Functional Medicine with The Institute for Functional Medicine. Outside of work, Ms. Verbil enjoys watching and participating in sports, reading about history, and hanging out with family and friends.
