Biography: I am a family medicine doctor with special interests in men's health and musculoskeletal pain. I believe in a team-based approach for practical and effective management of chronic illness, acute medical issues and preventive medicine.

I particularly enjoy treating patients of all ages, cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. I firmly believe that patients' emotional health is just as important as their physical health in determining their overall well-being.

Care Philosophy: In sports medicine, everyone has their own unique goals and motivations for returning from an injury. I enjoy getting to know my patients and working together to develop a plan to get them back to the activities they enjoy as quickly and safely as possible.

Biography: As a family medicine doctor, I am honored to serve all groups of patients from birth to 100 years of age. I love taking care of whole families. I have a special interest in diabetes, hypertension, women's health and preventive care. I enjoy taking care of chronic medical conditions.

Biography: I would describe my style of medicine as personalized and informal. I want my patients to feel comfortable disclosing their strengths and their fears as we create a treatment plan. I focus on forming partnerships with my patients, meeting them where they are at, and developing a plan of care that considers their unique needs and preferences. In addition to my clinical work, I see newborn babies at Fairview Ridges Hospital and continue caring for them at the Park Nicollet Burnsville Clinic. Because I care for patients of all ages, I enjoy caring for entire families. I also value providing respectful and comprehensive care to people of all genders and orientations. As a primary care doctor, I'm often the first person my patients see when they have a new issue or concern. Therefore, I strive to know "a little bit about everything" and happily refer to my specialist colleagues when an issue is outside of my primary care scope. I have particularly strong training in the area of female reproductive health.

Biography: I like family practice because I see all ages of patients with all sorts of medical problems. I also like talking to healthy patients to try to keep them from getting sick. I think that is where family practice plays a significant role: in helping people enjoy healthy lifestyles. Away from work, I spend most of my time with my wife Lori and our daughters Jessie and Willa.

Whether a patient needs care for an acute issue, a chronic medical condition or a wellness exam, I am interested in promoting overall health. I work to listen to my patients, be thoughtful about their concerns and provide evidence-based recommendations for screening, diagnosis and treatment. I have a special interest in adolescent medicine and chronic disease management. I also spend part of my time working at one of Park Nicollet Foundation's school-based health clinics for uninsured or underinsured children in the Burnsville community.

Biography: I love my job as a family practitioner because I truly enjoy caring for patients of all ages, from newborns to the more mature. It is rewarding and helpful to me to care for members of the same family. I prefer my patients to act as partners in their health care and to participate in decision-making as much as possible. I expect that we listen, respect and educate each other, all with a good dose of humor.
