Biography: Dr. Kelechi Akuma, M.D. is a board-certified Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon. He completed his General Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine at Beth Israel, New York. His clinical experience during residency training inspired him to pursue Vascular Surgery. He went on to complete his Vascular Surgery fellowship at North Shore-LIJ in New York where he focused on minimally invasive and open surgical treatment of arterial, venous, and lymphatic diseases. From 2018 to 2022, Dr. Akuma was employed as Vascular Surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Northwell Health in New York. In 2022, Dr. Akuma joined the HCA Florida Heart and Vascular Center in Margate, Florida. His practice focuses on non-operative, endovascular, and open management of aortic aneurysms, carotid disease, peripheral artery disease, hemodialysis access, superficial venous insufficiency, and deep venous pathology. Currently, Dr. Akuma holds board certifications in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery from the American College of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgery as well as a Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery. He is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation.

Biography: Dr. Roby Abraham is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, fellowship trained in adult hip and knee reconstruction. These procedures are explained in detail with the patient and their family as active participants in the discussion.Coactive patient education, where the patient takes ownership of their health and the information given to them is another aspect of Dr. Abraham's practice that he believes improves outcomes. The areas where Dr. Abraham has a passion in further researching are: DVT/PE protocols, infection prevention, epidural anesthesia program/Postop pain control/icing program, PT and social work video conference meetings with patients to streamline postop patient disposition including Home PT, DME supplies.Dr. Abraham uses robotic assistance for his primary knee and hip replacements as it augments and objectifies intraoperative goals and parameters. With robotic surgery, Dr. Abraham can verify and check the appropriate position of implants and precision of cuts to within a millimeter. Limb alignment, implant position, and soft tissue balancing are important parameters that are now measurable intraoperatively through robotic surgery.
