Biography: Dr. Urvashi Goswami chose psychiatry when she realized “whole of the body is in the mind, but the whole of the mind is not in the body.” She helps patients understand their minds and consciousness and wants them to feel challenged, stimulated, relaxed, fulfilled, and enlightened. Dr. Goswami enjoys meditating, crafting, hiking, traveling, and spending time in nature and near animals.

Biography: From a young age, I knew I needed to go into medicine. It was a calling for me. \n To deliver superior care, a doctor must listen deeply and be present with each patient. Really hearing my patients and understanding their challenges is what I strive for. \n I'm the clinic lead for Novant Health Psychiatric Associates in Huntersville and serve as an adjunct professor at the UNC School of Medicine. \n I'm a member of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) and am on the organization's lifelong learning committee. \n I enjoy reading medical journals and textbooks. I know it may seem boring, but I sincerely enjoy it. It keeps me current and knowledgeable about my field of medicine. I also enjoy spending time with my family and playing board games.
