Biography: Dr. Armando Yepes, MD, FACC is an interventional cardiologist with Dallas Cardiovascular Specialists at Medical City Dallas and Medical City Las Colinas. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, vascular medicine and endovascular medicine. Dr. Yepes has been in practice in the Dallas Fort Worth area for more than 10 years, and brings 15 years of experience to Medical City Dallas. He previously held various leadership positions including Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Las Colinas Medical Center, Chairman of the Department of Cardiology at Medical City Las Colinas. Dr. Yepes attended Medical School at the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Seora Del Rosario at Bogot, Colombia. He completed his medical internship and residency in internal medicine at University of Miami School of Medicine. He has fellowships in cardiology from The University of Texas at Houston, Health Science Center Medical School and in interventional cardiology from Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix/University of Arizona College of Medicine. He is a Fellow the American College of Cardiology and Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Yepes specializes in general cardiology, interventional cardiology, vascular and endovascular medicine. Dr. Yepes is fluent in both English and Spanish. Outside of medicine, his interests include traveling, jogging, playing squash, snow skiing, and spending time with his wife and children.

Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Dr. John L. Tan, MD, PhD serves as President and Managing Physician of North Texas Heart Center. He is a graduate of Northwestern University. He subsequently received his medical and PhD degrees at Stanford University School of Medicine. His internship and residency were served at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at Stanford University Medical Center, after which he served on the faculty before joining North Texas Heart Center in 1999. Dr. Tan is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Nuclear Cardiology. He has been named to the Best Doctors in America, Top Doctors in Texas, and Best Doctors in Dallas list for a number of years. He received numerous awards for clinical excellence, research, and clinical teaching. He enjoys travel and raises American Quarter Horses.

Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Jack Schwade, MD, received his board certification in Texas in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He has been on staff at Medical City since 1974 and was the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab from 1980 - 2009. Dr. Schwade has served on a number of committees at Medical City Dallas Hospital during his career and he has been the Director of Cardiology at the hospital since 1980. Dr. Schwade attended Rice University in Houston, Texas receiving his undergraduate degree in 1962. Upon graduation from the UT Southwestern Medical School with his medical degree in 1966, Dr. Schwade went on to complete his medical residency (1970-1972) and his fellowship (1972-1974) at Dallas Veterans Administration Hospital. His Cardiovascular Research fellowship was completed at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1974. Dr. Schwade is a leader in the cardiovascular field and attended numerous cardiology programs and scientific sessions through the American College of Cardiology and other organizations. He has also been published in numerous medical journals and publications throughout his career. Dr. Schwade served his country in the U.S. Army Medical Corp in the 1960's as a Major and Battalion Surgeon in Germany. He is married and has three children.

Biography: Dr. Darryl Kawalsky is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. He joined North Texas Heart Center in 1992 after completing his Cardiology Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. Dr. Kawalsky practices general cardiology with expertise in multiple diagnostic methods including echocardiography, nuclear imaging and diagnostic cardiac catheterization. His primary interest is in coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease and generalized vascular disease. He is very involved in medical education and active in clinical research. He served as assistant editor of the American Journal of Cardiology until 2002 and has been a recipient of the "Robert North Teacher of the Year Award". Dr. Kawalsky has been named to the Best Doctors in Dallas and Texas Super Doctors for many years. He is married and has 3 children.

Her residency was completed at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, followed by Fellowships in Cardiology, Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation from Stanford University Hospital. She is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.Dr. Hoang practices general cardiology with advanced training and expertise in Advanced Heart Failure care and management. She has participated extensively in research, published many articles and has received many academic awards. Dr. Hoang lives in Dallas with her husband and daughter. Dr. Hoang speaks Vietnamese.
