Care Philosophy: In my practice, I incorporate clients' interestssuch as art, music, crafts, and physical activitiesas coping strategies to enhance the therapeutic experience. I utilize various therapeutic modalities, including play therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help clients explore how their experiences shape their lives. I have a passion for working with individuals aged 5 and older, particularly in addressing issues related to anxiety, depression, social challenges, major life transitions, and the unique pressures faced by student athletes. I hold a deep respect for the therapeutic relationship and am dedicated to helping clients move towards healthier lives and relationships. Care Philosophy: With such a large stigma surrounding mental health, I believe it's helpful to learn how to become adaptive to stressors; when we're vulnerable to them and why, how the environment plays a role, and what benefit could it develop in do so.`` Former clients experience Matthew as having a good sense of humor, warm, thoughtful, and being a strong ally in tough moments of life. He has several years of experience utilizing empirically-based theories (DBT, CBT, ACT, IFS, EFT, MI) under an integrative framework to help enact progress in treatment and develop an effective therapeutic relationship. He works with parents, coaches, teachers, students and families to help them get moving in the direction they most need to create the change they seek.

Care Philosophy: Talkspace partners with care providers who find satisfaction in providing therapy in a way that prioritizes the client's convenience and preferences. Because all therapy takes place virtually, through messaging, live virtual sessions, or both, providers can communicate more frequently and casually in comparison to traditional face-to-face therapy. Talkspace treatment methods are supported by scientific research and are committed to non-judgmental care that is inclusive and respectful of cultural and other identities. Talkspace patients are matched with the best provider for them based on their needs and availability during the registration process. Once matched with a provider, patients may change at any time, and may contact support to request a specific provider. *The above is attributed to Talkspace and not the provider.*

Care Philosophy: My approach to therapy is grounded in meeting you where you are. If you're unsure where that is, we'll work together to figure it out. My primary therapeutic approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which I find to be highly versatile and authentic. However, I also draw from a variety of other modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, all of which help me tailor treatment to fit your unique needs. I work with clients facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction/substance abuse, OCD, anger issues, personality disorders, codependence, and more. My decision to pursue this career path was inspired by the profound impact I witnessed the therapeutic relationship can have when I was a teenager. The power of a third-party presence to help facilitate healing is something truly special, and I am honored to be part of that process with my clients.
