Cognitive-behavioral theory is integrated as appropriate to help facilitate greater understanding and insight regarding challenges and planning for change. Genuineness is important to me. Please do not expect silence or lack of engagement. I will validate thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, but also challenge incongruencies to help facilitate self-awareness. My primary work has been with individuals struggling with substance use and the wide range of emotional, relational, and physical issues that accompany addiction.
