He is perceptive, highly intelligent, and sensitive to a client/patient; personable and gracious. Continues to expand his knowledge and utilizes that learning to advance and inform his work. Working with Dr. Picon/Bill is like peeling an onion. Deal with the first layer and then proceed to the next...at a pace that is appropriate for you. I hear his voice and encouragement in my head as well as his questioning in ways that empower me and enhance my actions and decisions.

Dr. Picon, with whom I have worked intermittently since 1982, has been an outstanding therapist in all respects, both as a group leader and in individual therapy sessions. He truly cares about his patients and succeeds in significantly helping them cope with life and understand themselves better. I've seen evidence of this in colleagues from my groups. Brilliant, insightful, sensitive, perceptive, Picon adapts each session to what the patient's current state of mind needs most. He's awesome.

Bill is both encouraging and challenging. He's smart, skilled, and able to maneuver within the most sophisticated defenses. He's respectful of the client and is the best listener of any therapist with whom I've worked. He works on multiple levels, and although having a blueprint of where to get to, he is flexible in navigating the most effective path to arrive at the destination. Bill goes the extra mile for his clients. He is skilled in trauma work. Bill is a humble man who is very gifted.

Bill is an expert on weight management and everything related to it--including anxiety and depression. He is remarkable at listening and also hearing what isn't being said, then zeroing in on the main issue. His patience and ability to explain complex issues as well as his caring and kind disposition has helped me tremendously. I highly recommend Bill for individual or group psychotherapy.
