Dr. Ward Robak, PHD

I don't really know where to start. I had been to see him 4 times, but due to being on vacation I had not seen him in 4 weeks. This was my 5th visit. At first I was not going to leave a review, but I have not slept since I saw him. I had told him in the beginning that I was raised in a very high control religion and I don't believe in the Bible. He still sprinkled Bible verses in our conversations. At one point he told me his wife had left him and he had taken it very personal. I didn't know what to do with that and why he had felt the need to tell me. Monday when I went in we spent the first few minutes yet again with his trying to figure out my insurance. I then asked for his view on some Bible topics since he was so insistent on using it with me. He instantly got mad and defensive. I then brought up some advice he had given me, which he denied doing. I was extremely blown away, it was gaslighting at its finest. He then stood up opened the door for me to leave. I am still shaking.

I have been seeing him for years and highly recommend him. I have learned so much about myself and have a whole new outlook on my life.

I have had 3 visits so far and highly recommend him. Our first visit was the most impactful so far. I gleaned an answer to my own behavior I had been struggling with for years. One more weight of the world is now gone. That alone is worth millions of hours and money to me.

I got a call back to set up a conaultatiom I felt as though he was very rude. I ended up not even setting one up because of how rude he was. I would not recroment him if you are looking for someone who is compassionate or empathetic.

If you're looking for a Stuart Smalley-type character who inserts Jesus into sessions and cries during YOUR therapy session for which YOU are paying, then this is your guy. He's the quintessential psych who studied to heal his own wounds and is far from healed.
