Horrible Experience EXPENSIVE
This therapist is a man-hating narcissist who thrives on conflict. Instead of helping, she drove a wedge between my partner and me, encouraging separate sessions that doubled her fees. Her chaotic, pseudo-Freudian approach led nowhere—no breakthroughs, no follow-up, no progress. She pretended to take notes, but I caught her pad completely blank except for a random Social Security number. She never remembered past sessions, ignored the “homework” she assigned, and called me combative when I brought it up. I later met her recently divorced (and recently married) ex-husband, a lifelong alcoholic. He said she knowingly married him, made his life worse, and now he avoids anything resembling therapy.

This lady never let me leave a session without feeling worse then when I came. Her advice always made it very clear that she was not supportive of my needs. A few years later when telling a friend about how horrible she was my friend said that she to had seen Vim while going through a divorce and that she felt it was obvious that Vim was very anti-men, but at the time she appreciated that as she was very angry with her ex-husband. She made me deeply distrustful of therapist in general for several years. Her license should be pulled.

Ms. Tesar seems completely unaware that her behavior is off-putting. I was looking for counseling to get over a narcissistic relationship. She reminded me of my abuser and even used the same phrases. It was creepy and I couldn't leave fast enough. I'm not going back.
