Dr. Socolar provides a safe and inviting space to be seen, heard and validated. She is very personable, empathetic and knowledgeable. At the first appointment she greeted me with a friendly smile and said you can call me Verena. Verena is a gifted listener and can focus on what needs to be addressed to help one move toward good mental health and well being. Her approach is very eclectic. There is an ease about her that invites trust. She is able to keep one on topic by honing in on problematic thinking and behaviors. When sharing fears, doubts, insecurities, achievements, goals, time and money I know Dr. Socolar is as invested in me as I am in her. We have cried and laughed together in sessions. She invites you to be your authentic self. I value her expertise and great sense of humor. Dr. Socolar is a highly skilled professional practicing with compassion.
