Initially, the welcome was warm and friendly, but over time it was clear that she was not a safe provider for our family. She supported the use of physical force between a parent and child in the name of 'accountability'. She did not seem to support other methods of parenting aside from control. She did not appear to understand neurodivergence in children and how a child can't control it. She did not like being questioned about 'why' things were being done a certain way with appointments. She yelled at me, then proceeded to flip it and say I was the aggressor. What is most alarming was the testimony she prepared to give under oath, that was not supported by complete assessments and facts but her own biased opinion based on limited information. Unfortunately, I have seen this mentioned by many other families with children across the internet, including cases that children were removed from their home. Please do your research before choosing her.

Not a good experience for me. Doesn't understand, or care to understand, neurodivergence. Careless with words and terms. When called out on mistakes, and their harmful impacts, offers narcissistic word salad non-apologies. Clearly took sides when offering co-parenting therapy, and maintained that her allegiance was to the client who pays the bill. Not helpful for me at all. But, good strengthening exercises in dealing with her. Just grateful I have had other positive therapy experiences to counterbalance the pain of suffering through sessions with her. Hopefully in time she will educate herself more on parenting styles and neurodivergence. Children aren't objects, property, pawns in some chess game. She didn't seem to understand that clearly.
