Dr. Tracy Hairston, OD

Dr Hairston is very knowledgeable on a variety of illnesses that can affect the eye via illness or by medications. He spends ample time doing annual tests ruling in/out issues found or notes changes due to illnesses. He has taken preventive measures and has helped me immensely. Plus I get my RX glasses from him. This doctor is not a “mall eye Doctor” he’s the real deal treating all aspects of the eye.

I saw Dr. Hairston many years ago, and I chose to return to him this year as my ophthalmologist had decided to only perform surgery and not to continue doing yearly eye exams. What a difference in Dr. Hairston. He is uncomfortably quiet and doesn’t seem to engage with his patients like he use to many years ago. He also didn’t explain why he chose to drastically increase my contact prescription. After a week of wearing the new contacts and after investing in a year’s supply of that prescription, I returned to him. I let him know how blurry my vision was, and that I thought the prescription was too strong. He went back to my old prescription, but never apologized for his mistake, my time, and the many calls I was going to have to make to return the 3 full boxes and the 1 opened box of a prescription I would never use. The experience was so disappointing. I wish Dr. Hairston had handled this situation differently. I can not return to his practice.

He gave me a wrong prescription. I had to get a new one from a different doctor. Not recommended!

Great experience visiting Dr. Hairston's office. Dr. Hairston was very kind, supportive, understanding and professional. I highly recommend using his services. The office team and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

I could write a long drawn out review but I think keeping simple and straight to the point is the best way to go...So if you are looking for an optometrist who exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism and delivers premium care I venture to say that you will find anyone better or more qualified than Dr. Hairston. I have been a patient with Dr. Hairston for 3 years. He and the full staff at Metro Eye Docs., have always been wonderful. When I have had several urgent eye issues (including my son having pink eye), he has responded promptly and effectively. He is always my first recommendation to friends or coworkers in need of eye care.

When I purchased $500+ Undergam glasses from Dr. Hairston he was very helpful. When 3 yrs. later the earpiece separated from the hinge he couldn't be bothered and his staff told me the only solution would be to send hem back to the vendor. I told them I couldn't be without my glasses but they insisted the glasses had to go back. When I contacted the vendor they offered to supply a temp pair thru Dr. H. After his office contacted the vendor all of a sudden this was not an option.
