Initial tech was excellent ! Dr Boss rushed through exam Did not listen to symptoms because the condition I was given did not match my symptoms. Told me I was wrong concerning the pain I was experiencing Will not be going back

Dr.Boss is condescending and rude. She interrupts you when you are speaking and doesn’t listen. She rushes through her exam and god forbid you ask a question. The worse experience I’ve ever had at an eye doctor.

Wrong diagnosis. Did not pay close attention to my description of my problem. Seemed arrogant.

Dr. Boss has been an Outstanding eye doctor to many of my friends and myself for years. Dr. Boss has been able to diagnose issues that other doctors couldn't, for my family members that lived out of state but needed help their local doctors couldn't give them.

I noticed a lot of these reviews were old and wanted to share a my recent experience: when I saw her, she explained my condition and the results of the scans. Originally, I was very worried, but she reassured me, and answered my questions. She also referred me to brain doctor just in case there were underlying issues. I had none of the problems that other patients had according to these reviews - at Chesapeake eye center, she was great. Overall, I had a very pleasant interaction and would recommend.

She’s not particularly nice or pleasant;

Absolutely rude to the patient- treats the patient as if they are beneath her. Makes assumptions about how the patient handled the problem prior to making an appointment- as if the patient is not smart enough to handle their own treatment plan or care. As a healthcare clinician of 20 years- I was appalled! I should have read the reviews first and if Dr Azar reads these reviews she should be counseled or let go.

Let me start by saying I do not write reviews. At all. But I signed up to do this because I was treated in such an incredibly unprofessional manner that I felt others needed to know. Took my 8 month old in for an eye issue....when I asked to hold my daughter in my arms and feed her (bottle) instead of "hold her legs between my legs, arms with my arms and her chin in my hand to hold her down" I was met with resistance. Btw....this was because I had listened listened first appt and found that approach did not work well. My approach worked beautifully. When I asked questions about the diagnosis, such as if it would resolve on it's own or need medication, I was told to get another opinion because "clearly I did not trust her professional opinion." A doctor who is unwilling to actually take the time to answer questions or even describe the diagnosis doesn't deserve to examine you.

Dr. Boss substituted for my regular eye dr. for an eye assessment recently. She was very rude during the appt. and made me feel like I shouldn’t be there. She asked me why I was there and if I had requested the appt. I had called the office to let my dr. be aware of my symptoms and was told I had to make an appt. She made me feel like I was wasting her time. The assessments she made, however, were done well and gave me “peace of mind” concerning my issues. I am changing eye doctors as a result. (After returning home and telling my husband, it turns out that he had experienced a similar treatment from her a few years ago.)

Waste of time. I’ll go somewhere else. All the bad reviews are true. I wish I had read them prior to making an appointment.

Dr. Boss had excellent listening skills & a very professional approach. She answered every question completely, reassured me that my health was a concern to her, explained my medical condition carefully and thoroughly, and was very knowledgeable, patient and kind. I am very pleased with Dr. Boss, and I highly recommend this doctor. ??

My son had his first eye exam today and the staff was absolutely amazing! They were SO friendly and got everything done in a timely manner and made him completely comfortable! Dr. Boss on the other hand has a very poor attitude and was very impatient and rude during her examination. I had heard this before from other patients, but decided not to judge until we met her ourself. I would 10/10 recommend this practice, but i would definitely recommend you choose any other ophthalmologist in the office, especially if you have children. Based on her other reviews this seems to be common behavior which is a shame and could drive patients away.

I have had two experiences with Dr. Boss and both have been terrible. She has a less than pleasant attitude and spoke to both myself and my daughter in a condescending manner. She appears to be more concerned with her personal ego than meeting the needs of her patients. I would not recommend her services to anyone.

One of the best professionals that has worked with my son. She was kind, thorough and understanding of his special needs. I left her office completely satisfied with the care given to him.

Terrible. God help the inquisitive because she does not like to answer questions. Her response will be an eye/neck roll, accompanied by an insistantly deliberate condescending remark. I recommend her if you enjoy interactions with rude 5yr olds, playing dress up who don't understand the scope of the duties in their profession. BTW I scheduled 1st available there's a reason why she has immediate openings. Kindness and consideration are alien to her. She deserves negative stars, you deserve better
