No bedside manner
This was the first frustrating visit my family had at the facility he works at in over 8 years of visiting. The appointment went okay until he said there was nothing he could do to help, he saw a lot of what my symptoms were that day… and I had the nerve to ask more questions.Once I asked questions, he became defensive and agitated. He cut me off as I was speaking and raised his voice rather than calmly answering.Once I was finished with this appointment, I immediately went to another provider who diagnosed me (with a diagnosis I had asked questions about) and had me on medications that improved my condition rapidly within 24 hours.

Terrible
Any time myself or my children have seen Todd McNiesh, it’s been a terrible experience. He diagnoses you before he even walks in the door. Prepare to be in and out within 5 minutes without having him listen to a word you say or care in the world. He’ll tell you that multiple people have told him so the same symptoms that day. He had no empathy, no compassion and is overall a terrible PA that should no longer be working at the urgent care in Appleton. A recent post was made about him in a local group and it was shocking to see the amount of people who had terrible experiences, missed diagnoses one including a lung infection which sent the person to the ICU. Please get a second opinion after seeing him or avoid seeing him all together!

The reason people fear going to a doctor
I was appalled at the people skills of this provider. People like him are the reason people die because they’re too afraid to seek care. He lost my respect within the first few min when asking me to describe my symptoms. Then proceeded to talk down to me and yell at me saying I’m not allowed to use certain words to describe symptoms because he didn’t like that word and there are billions of words in the English language but I’m not allowed to use that one. He did not express any concern for my answers but instead acted like he wanted to challenge what I said or attack it. He had me so afraid to even say another word at that point that I decided to just leave and risk potentially life threatening symptoms. Went to another provider instead.

Horrible bedside manor
Went to urgent care due to continued ear pain. I told him the drop I was given make me dizzy and nauseas and he mocked me. Was literally yelling how of course they will do that. And acted as if I was stupid. Told me I had eustacian tube dysfunction . Didn’t explain why he thought that. Read his notes after and looked up what he seen and everything he said to me was opposite of what it meant. Told me ear drops would make my issues worse , but that’s actually a treatment option for a retracted ear drum. Nothing like being screamed at and implied you’re dumb . If you want to feel about 2 inches tall. Go see this guy. He will be sure to make you feel like you’re stupid for having pain.

Really bad customer service
This provider had terrible people skills. I came in because I was having similar symptoms as I had with a previous injury and was told that time that I had waited too long before coming in. (I had only waited 48 hours… so I cut it down to 24 this time) I was trying to not make the same mistake. Todd talked down to me, did not examine me, and made it a point to say he had been in the military and had seen it all. I tried asking for pointers for care and he gave me a lot of “duh” kind of responses. At the beginning of the appointment I told him about the mistake that I made that led to my injury. His response for tips for care was to not make the same mistake. What he saw was someone who was complaining about nothing in comparison to his experience in life. What he didn’t see was someone who did not want to get saddled with another $20,000 bill because they waited too long.
