Tim screamed at me during our appointment, threatening to discharge me as a client because I was upset he discontinued an active prescription without having a conversation. Tim told me, “ you should be able to figure out how to get to sleep by now. it’s not my fault”. as a registered nurse, i find it laughable that a provider would gaslight their patient for reporting a treatment resistant symptom. Tim is a new prescriber and allows his fear of prescribing controlled substances to negatively impact the patient care he delivers. Beyond that, tim is not very knowledgeable as a mental health practitioner. It is difficult to find a good psychiatrist as i’ve only ever had one in a different state. Tim ranks at the bottom of my list of bad providers. seek help elsewhere.
