At first, I enjoyed his bedside manner. Very friendly and good natured, good sense of humor. As I saw him more, I noticed a bit of arrogance He dismissed some of my legitimate concerns. Insisted he give me an bum swab when I asked to do it, as every other doc he works with allowed/preferred this. The following week, they call me to come back in because he didnt do it correctly and the lab got no results. I return and this time while he has the bum swab in my bum he is reading the accompanying directions ALOUD regarding how long to leave the swab in my bum. Im standing. He’s seated behind me holding the swab. This did not breed confidence for me in an NP who works in a std clinic. Especially since he insisted he do it the first time. Another time he gave me upsetting lab results in a crowded waiting room, by putting the highlighted printed results in front of my face and then casually and quite loudly telling me in front of everyone that he’ll give me a penicillin shot.
