Do not see her if you are serious about your mental health. She provides no help other than to sign a prescription slip. She did not listen to me, and proceeded to tell me many if my problems are because I am overweight. She literally said, “Don’t you love your husband?” She asked me why I didn’t want to look better for him. (I’m a recovering anorexic, size 18, and was in an abusuve marriage.) . After my session, I was unable to eat or go outside for a week. AVOID HER.

Dr. Magnus was WONDERFUL! She LISTENS -- and ASKS QUESTIONS -- and she gave me all the time I needed for this initial visit. She explained why the recent prescription change did not help me. She even assured me that the previous psychiatrists I had seen were as good as I thought they were. New Directions's Nancy Perdue, my psychiatric vendor for Florida Blue, referred me to Dr. M. and I can't thank her enough. (Yes, DOCTOR M because she has PhD. in psychiatric nursing and therapy.)

Absolutely fantastic physician! Dr. Tia was able to figure out how to adjust my medications and gave me my life back. She consulted with a pharmacist to make sure that the new medications wouldn't have any interactions with my other medications. I was able to get an appointment right away and the office was easy to find. I would recommend her services to anyone who has struggled with trying to find the right medication combination that works for them.

Caring and approachable as well as extremely knowledgable about medicine. She is board certified, which, I recently realized that not all providers need to be. I went for a second opinion and my medication treatment has balance me for the first time in my adult life.
