This was a follow up for repeat symptoms that occurred a year after endoscopy performed. I followed recommendations for a year after endoscopy and I was symptom free until on a cruise last week. I was lucky to get appointment in 2 days as office usually booked. I was seen promptly, past medication and symptom history reviewed. Thuy Hua listened carefully, asked questions, then offered her assessment and options available for 2 most probable causes. A repeat endoscopy could pinpoint the cause of my symptoms and a date avaible in 3 weeks was selected. I never felt that I was being rushed and that all my questions were answered completely. NP's with training and experience in a specialty area are competent and know their limitations. I felt confident in her assessment and options given to me and would recommend her completely.

Ms. Hua, Ph.D., did not care about my pain, because I have it only 6-10 times a year. I had to describe it in great detail, and then express the following: I know others have it more often, but it hurts (easily an 8 out of 10) and I don't want to feel it ever. How can I avoid it?She all but shrugged at my description. I was able to get some more information, at my great effort. It shouldn't be this hard, and no PA should show so little interest in the patient. I will not see her again.

In a visit at some point in the absence of Dr Petit, PA-C Hua had shown the same concern and empathy to my GI persistent issues and of late has communicated her concerns on updates I provided about my current condition.We need more medical professionals involved and express their expertise with such confidence.

Nothing really stood out. Nice office staff. Didn't keep me waiting, since I was a few minutes late.
