I found Thavone quite helpful and compassionate for individual therapy.

I thought that Thavone was helpful at first for couple's therapy but then she dropped us and the way she did it felt very odd. We had been seeing her for individual sessions, and then also for couples therapy as we learned the Imago method. We'd been clients for several months. On our last session she asked us to pay at the beginning of our session (which she had never done before) and then sat us down and proceeded to tell us that she didn't feel we were good candidates for Imago therapy and that she wondered if this was the best method for us. The hour session was very awkward as she did not tell us this directly in the beginning. There was a lot of beating around the bush, and I felt I had to really push her to just "spill the beans" so to speak. It was as if she was slowly building up the courage to directly tell us she didn't want to be our therapist anymore. This "breakup" didn't take the full hour of the session, and so during the end 15 minutes or so she just sort of awkwardly
