I have had ADD all my life but couldn't figure out why I couldn't focus. In my first visit Mrs. Fortner diagnosed me and prescribed medication that worked. I eventually had to change my dosage but she worked with me until it was at the right level. I even had to reach her on short notice once-- and she helped me even when she was out of her office. Very understanding and I highly recommend her.

In 2012, Fortner was my psych and my experience with her was the worst I have ever experienced. I, too, feel like she judged me as a drug seeker w/o knowing my history. She changed my meds & I was having an allergic reaction to them. I had tried contacting her, but instead got her nurse only to be told that Fortner's response was that what I was experiencing was normal & keep taking meds. The side effects lasted a whole day, going into the next. I ended up in the ER. TRAUMATIZING.

I saw Terri Fortner during the worst time of my life. I was falling apart & ready to ck myself in to impatient psychiatric hospital in OK that has a Christian wing. I went to Mrs. Fortner hearing she was Christian. She was as cold as ice, uncompassionate, didn't help me in any way & treated me like a drug seeker. I never returned. Compassion & kindness go a long way in the mental health business, & she has neither.
