Tammy Romig, MS

If you are a non religious, talk like a sailor, alternative neuro spicy 'kid' like me, you will LOVE Tammy. She provides a safe space for all of her clients. It's like talking to a best friend with her, no super dr like 'how are you feeling' bs. She lets YOU tailor how the visits go. She genuinely cares about her clients. I've been seeing her for years and it's insane the little details she remembers from years ago even. She always responds with video apps or texting after hours or between appointments. She lets me do telehealth visits if something comes up last minute. She is always genuinely herself and will tell you how it is. She's even helped my relationship SO much in couples therapy. I can not reccomend her enough. I got so lucky that I found her my first time trying out therapy.

It is important to know that right from the start of your first visit, she specifically asks if you are comfortable with her sharing her past experiences as well as your comfort levels of how and what you want to discuss! If they would have said no, she would've respected their wishes. She has been so beneficial for my disorders and I enjoy having someone with similar diagnoses because it is so rare to find others to relate to. She always makes you feel heard and truly cares about your well being. She is professional about the relationship she has with her patients but offers the comfort that a close friend would. She has always told me if I don't feel like my counseling hasn't been beneficial she would refund me for my session and understands some clients may need a therapist more suited for them. She takes time to respond when you need her outside of office hours when you are going through something you need help with in real time. Best therapist I've had in 13 years!

Tammy tells it like it is, so she may not be for everyone, but she’s perfect for me. She’s very open about her own struggles so the therapist-client relationship doesn’t feel one-sided. It makes her seem more human, not like a robot that just asks how you feel about everything. I can tell she actually cares about me as a person. She actually remembers things about me and has gotten to know me, and that’s not an experience I’ve had with every therapist. She is neurodivergent-affirming, which is important to me. She’s also very accessible via text message, which makes me feel like I can access support anytime. I highly recommend Tammy. The office staff are also awesome, and her office is comfortable and welcoming.

Tammy is a great therapist for people who need help. For people just beginning therapy, she isn't for you. I have had nothing but positive experiences since I started seeing her last year. She shares her experiences as a way to bond with you, some people don't recognize that. Those people are probably only looking for someone to cry to about their meaningless problems. I would recommend Tammy to anyone with actual issues; bored housewives aren't going to enjoy therapy with her.

Tammy is unprofessional and talked so much about her own traumas that I thought I was the therapist.I thought okay the first visit she’s just trying to relate to me or make me feel comfortable (fail). I gave her a second chance and not only did she talk just as much, she also rubbed my arm when I was leaving! I had told her the first visit how I felt about being touched, so I don’t know if she wasn’t listening to me or if she was just trying to see my reaction to being touched either way she was a huge disappointment to me. I have never seen a therapist before her and have yet to see another one. I don’t want her to ruin therapy for me, but my God people aren’t paying to hear YOU talk about YOUR traumas,we are seeing you to talk about stuff we’ve never talked about before and we have a short time to do it. If I didn’t already pay I would have just walked out, she was that bad.

Tammy is a very unprofessional therapist, uses a lot of profanity during her sessions and apparently prefers to do all of the talking. This is apparent by the fact that you can't get a word in with her, she walks right over you in conversations as if what you have to say doesn't matter. When I wanted to address a situation where she encouraged my spouse to deceive me, she danced around the subject at hand instead of giving a straight answer.

Exceptional therapist. Empathetic, kind, and incredibly intuitive.

Tammy Romig is an amazing therapist. I don't think I could have asked for anyone better. She's very understanding of everything I go through and is very good about suggesting things to me for me to be able to help myself and not just rely on her. I've been seeing her for well over a year now and I wouldn't want to see anyone else.

Tammy is a caring therapist who has the ability to push you and challenge your thinking while showing compassion and genuine concern.

Tammy likes to tease her clients about things they have told her in confidence. She isn't a good therapist.

I would not recommend Tammy Romig MS LPC. I would never visit her office again. She shared things from our sessions with other people and teased me about things I told her. She simply can't be trusted. I was blindsided by my experience. I hope to warn others before they enter into her practice.
