I would not recommend this therapist. I had one counseling session and immediately canceled all upcoming appointments the very next day. She wasn’t very inviting and warm. I was dealing with anxiety and a bit of depression. I don’t believe this is her expertise area. I indicated my previous employer caused this and she sent me a list of jobs to look up?!? That’s just as if I had a fear or tartaric experience with dogs and she sends over a list of dogs to adopt…. She was also very judgmental & asked “I should’ve left out why didn’t I leave”. Obviously if I knew better, I would’ve done better.. Overall, my experience was not good. She’d be an ok career counselor but therapist? I don’t see the potential. She also over talked, did Most of the talking and didn’t listen as I repeated myself. She even asked a question and said “you never told me that”…. You never asked that question… She was not the right fit! Tread lightly. She also asked me “stop myself from getting anxious beforehand”…

Her method of therapy was not effective for me. Some sessions I dreaded coming to. I would've liked to be able to speak about my feelings and things that have happened to me that still effected me, but it just felt like an hour-long questionnaire. She claims I was being guarded, but I was frustrated with my inability to speak about my issues. Or me being guarded was due to a lack of a relationship built for me to feel comfortable speaking about certain topics. Sessions felt very impersonal and did not bother to build a rapport with me. I would not recommend and am looking to go elsewhere.

Some parts were good/okay but I left and would never go back. In the beginning I felt welcome and liked her more but as time went on I don't know if she just didn't like me as a person or if that was just her style. I felt judged often which is the opposite of what you're supposed to feel like at counseling. After her I started seeing only PsyDs and had much better experiences.
