Susan helped me and my husband both in couple’s therapy as well as in individual therapy. We had completed our sessions right before COvID and it has made us stronger for it. I am a big believer that therapy can be helpful if you’re open to it. Her style worked for us as she is honest and straightforward. She is very aware of her clients, and you have to be open to that as you do with any therapist. If your therapist is honest with you and you are not honest with them, the therapy doesn’t work. She made it work for us.

My daughter and I have seen Susan for almost a year. All I can say is.. wow, what a difference a year makes. My daughter saw Susan for behavioral issues she was having at school and both the school and I noticed a great improvement because of Susan's intervention. Unfortunately due to covid, therapy ceased and now I am having situations at home. Susan uses talk therapy and play therapy with her younger clients and my daughter responded well. I was given advice on what to work on at home and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but I am glad I had some tools to utilize when I am in a situation with her at home I have also recommended Susan to a friend who wanted help for her teenager. She is very satisfied with Susan's care for her son

Not all therapy is good therapy. Therapy with an irresponsible therapist can be extremely harmful & there are a lot of bad therapists out there. Please do your research & avoid people like Sue Bell My wife was having issues managing my daughter. Sue Bell somehow suggested a “neurological exam” for my daughter without ever contacting anyone else, including my daughter’s school in order to determine if similar issues were occurring with anyone other than the mother. When I told Sue Bell that I hadn’t experienced similar behavior with my daughter, I was told by her “well mothers tend to bear the brunt”. This may be true but this also is not consistent with a child that has any sort of a “neurological” issue. I’ve been told by good psychologists since then that the therapist’s method of assessment could only result in an “incomplete evaluation”. It is beyond me how a “professional” could do such shoddy work, when it has the potential to negatively affect the welfare of a child.

My husband and I were having marital problems (he was abusive) so we booked a session with Susan. He went first and without even meeting me she diagnosed me with bipolar disorder to him, which gave him further fuel for abuse. I don’t know how you can call yourself a mental health professional and make a diagnosis of someone without having met them. This had a detrimental effect on my life, later in family court too. I would never recommend her. A total quack.
