very caring & supportive
I have been seeing Dr. Z for several years, at a low point in my life, and truly believe that w/out his advice and emotional support my life and outlook for the future would be much bleaker. I see him every week, unfortunately via Zoom since Covid, and after every session I feel more optimistic about my life and my ability to deal with whatever comes up, because he stops me when I get into negativity, and because of his caring support.

Caring therapist for our child
Dr. Zemmelman started working with our son when he was 6 years old and caught in the middle of a high conflict divorce. It was a very difficult situation because our son has ADHD, and one parent who was unsupportive of therapy and engaging in parental alienation. Dr. Zemmelman created a safe and caring place for our son to talk about things he was experiencing and talking to us as parents when needed. I learned a lot in the time that we spent with Dr. Zemmelman. Despite our difficult circumstances he always managed to help us navigate things and find the best way to give our son what he needed. As a result, my relationship with my son has grown and become stronger as he's grown into a teenager - something I never thought would happen given my co-parent's efforts. I am really grateful for the care we got as a whole family, and would definitely recommend Dr. Zemmelman to other families that want to give their child some emotional and psychological support.

Disappointing.
Dr Z was very slow and passive to see a very obvious scenario. It felt like a cross between a lack of perception and a lack of interest -/ unfortunately children suffered due to his work. He was in a position of power and this child needed an advocate — and Dr Z didn’t listen or trust the child. Not sure he respects children in general. The case was eventually resolved and Dr Z should be ashamed ot how far off his “evaluations” were. As a professional he needs to dig deeper and sharpen his insight instead of damaging people’s lives by his passive form of therapy. I would not recommend sending any child to him.
