I was in a horrible marriage with a woman who has Borderline Personality Disorder. One of the first things that Steve told me was, "Everything is your fault," delivered in some veiled Buddhist "all life is pain" sort of way. I guess I understand that we all need to accept our mistakes, but this felt overly simplified, harsh, and not representative of the truth of our relationship. (Her BPD was not diagnosed at the time.) We were in therapy with Steve for approximately six months, during which my ex-wife attended approximately two sessions; however, she knew about the sessions and chose not to attend despite knowing that I was there with Steve. My ex-wife later told me that during those six months, she also saw Steve on her own without my knowledge. Of course, all statements made by my ex-wife who has BPD and continues to hate me are suspect and I can't be certain that is true. However, if it is true that she saw Steve independently and neither of them brought this to my attention,

I've worked with Steve for many years off and on and he's helped me push through many hard issues. He's a great listener who actively challenges my distorted beliefs and gives me the practical tools I need to deal with my issues outside of our therapy sessions. He also helped me and my partner work through some difficult issues by playing an impartial mediator who had both of our best interests in mind. I strongly recommend him. He will be a great ally.

Steve is a phenomenal therapist. He's respectful, straightforward, and incredibly insightful. My wife and I felt like we were both relatively adjusted individuals when we first starting meeting with him, but now we both have so many more emotional tools at our disposal. If you're looking for someone to just tell you what you want to hear, a) that sounds like a bad therapist, and b) since Steve is GREAT he's not your guy. He's honest and helpful and awesome. 100/10 would recommend seeing him.

I worked with different therapists for years and never felt like I was being heard. Steve understands and checks in with me throughout our sessions to make sure that he's always on the same page. He is respectful and I truly feel like he really cares about me and my progress. I appreciate that he doesn't let me waste my time. When it's difficult to talk about some things, I tend to avoid it by talking about some unrelated topic and he is very good about bringing me back to why I'm there today.
