Dr. Steven Reisler, PSY.D

I have to agree with the top two reviews, bad experience. Dr Reisler started off telling me he keeps a support dog in his therapy sessions usually and would i be okay with that and it came up that hes divorced, i wonder why lol and he made me feel defensive and uncomfterable and almost every reply was 'over justify' and did not care how he made me feel, or that i wasn't returning! Wheres the proffesionalism and humanity?

This guy does nothing but talk about his problems and doesn’t let you even get a word in. Strongly suggest against him.

I would caution against Dr. Reisler. He spent a whole session on a harangue about politics. I wanted to discuss a contentious relationship. He interrupted and, with a smug look, noted that all my relationships were contentious. I replied that I readily admit that and that's why I'm here. , When I told him that it wasn't working, he followed me down the hall telling me he was sorry it hurt my ego and just to consider this another contentious relationship. I opened up to him and I was hurt.

Dr. Reisler is a caring and compassionate therapist who truly cares about his patients. I called him in a crisis and he was able to schedule me the same week. He returns phone calls within hours and allows his patients to contact him thru texting between sessions. He is promptly on time and gives at least 55 minute sessions!
