We saw Dr. Steve for a long period of time for couple's therapy. He had a very warm, compassionate and calm presence at each of our sessions. He is skilled at creating connection and building trust with clients, even over telehealth! Together and individually, we were really impressed at how he tailored insights and advice to each person's needs and perspective. He was really good at helping us understand things we never thought about before. He really improved our ability to communicate in our marriage and make lasting improvements. We never felt like he took sides - he always kept the goal in mind of helping us strengthen our connection in our marriage and speak for our feelings, not from our feelings.

My husband and I loved each other very much, however, we would get into some tricky arguments -basic roommate arguments, or typical money issues- and couldn't figure out a way to resolve them ourselves. My trusted therapist recommended Dr. Isenberg and we will forever be grateful for it. Dr. Isenberg was calm, caring, very thoughtful, and considerate. He put us both at ease from the start. We both found a safe place to raise our personal concerns and to feel heard. We looked forward to our next sessions to be able to lay out any new or lingering issue and resolve it together. In couple therapy, we learned the skills to better listen to one another and learned some great communication tools. Thanks to couple therapy, we learned to communicate better, we resolved the issues in our couple that were preventing us from moving forward on our wish to have a baby. Six years later, we have our daughter and wouldn't have her without Dr. Isenberg's fantastic counseling. We keep recommending him.

Steve has been great to work with. Great balance of guiding the conversation, showing empathy, challenging us on our POVs, and helping to translate what's said so that it can better be heard. Highly recommend him.
