Dr. Steven Gerber, OD

Too many sad details of my experiences in this office to relate in this review. Most unprofessional business I have ever visited. Forced to pay for a pair of glasses that were totally unusable and treated very rudely in the process. Don't go there.

The last time I was in, I was so disappointed in the services. But, this time was the complete opposite. Two employees assisted me at different times. Both were professional and a pleasure to receive help from. My problem was quickly solved and I was very satisfied with the end results. This was a very positive experience and I am glad I returned.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Gerber for over 7 years. I have seen the quality of service/professionalism rendered by his staff deteriorate immensely.  I find his staff to be very rude and condescending - when trying to have a conversation/inquiry with them via the phone or in-person, the reception received was very unwelcoming.  My last eye exam was Nov 2021, (Dr, Gerber was his usual jovial self) I need new glasses - selected a Betty Johnson's frame, which was pulled from the display in Dr. Gerber's office; I specifically asked his attending staff if those were the exact frames I would be getting and she replied "Yes", which concerns me at the time because those displayed frames were fitted on by other patients. In any event, I picked up my glasses on Dec. 10th, 2021, and in a matter of 45 days, one of the hinges fell out of Betsy Johnson's frame.  I stopped by the office to get them replaced/repaired and was treated very poorly. I was greeted by sarcasm and laughter

A very kind and extremely intelligent and empathic doctor. Also has a sense of humor which is uncommon these days in the medical profession. I’m very lucky to have stumbled upon Dr. G as my eye doctor since my last one retired.

Professional and knowledgeable doctor. Doesn't try to oversell you anything you don't need which is rather common these days. Entire staff is friendly. As a health professional myself, it is always refreshing to see another healthcare professional with a personable nature.

Dr. Gerber has been my eye doctor for nearly SEVEN years and I have only positive things to say about him and his office staff. If you are looking for an eye doctor who is intelligent, knows his trade extremely well, and treats you with respect, then give Dr. Gerber a chance.

Dr. Gerber is extremely friendly and very professional. I had seen other optometrist and Dr. Gerber is by far the best.

I would highly recommend Dr. Gerber to family and friends.
