Dr. Steven Bovio, OD

I started with Dr. Bovio when he took over the practice of my retired doctor. I take my vision very seriously, especially since I have both glaucoma and macular degeneration in my family. He is on top with the latest knowledge and technology. And he takes time to ask questions and to truly hear your concerns. Recently, my husband contracted shingles on his face and his eye swelled, the dermatologist told us that he was not qualified to work with his eyes and suggested the ER. I didn't like that idea and had my husband call Dr. Bovio instead. He met us immediately at his office and had the equipment he needed to reassure us that the eye was intact.I trust him explicitly with my eye care and that of my family. Also his staff while being very professional are also personable and genuinely nice. I cannot recommend Dr. Bovio as anything the best person for your eyecare

I went to Dr. Bovio so troubled by dry eye (complicated by blepharitis) that I couldn't function and was in constant distress. He not only performed an eyelid- gland procedure which helped a great deal and over time is likely to confer permanent benefit, but worked with me with great dedication and persistence, providing therapies, recommendations and treatments that gradually ameliorated the condition so life could be normal again.

Dr. Bovio took over Dr. Thompson's practice, so I just stayed and am so glad that I did He is thorough and makes absolutely sure that you understand what is going on with your vision. His office staff is cheerful and courteous and knowledgeable as well. I have looked everywhere for frames only to always return to his office and now his new optical center is wonderful with more choices than anywhere else. I highly recommend Dr. Bovio and his staff.

What a wonderful experience!! It was easy to get an appointment for my son and myself. I went to their website and did everything on line. They even have the ability to text you if you are like me and at work and can't get to the phone. The whole experience was outstanding! Dr. Bovio and his team were very thorough and pleasant. HIGHLY recommended!!

I received prompt, courteous and professional service as a work in for emergency care. Dr Bovio was leaving on vacation the next week and wanted to make sure I was under another doctors care for follow up in his absence.

They were able to fit me into their schedule without any issues even though I arrived late for my appointment. I slept in and called, but they still allowed me to come in. The doctor saw me right away and took care of all my needs and questions promptly. Friendly and quick! :)
