Stephen Boersman, NP

I saw Stephen Boersman as a patient in Mount Vernon hospital. He discharged me with the incorrect prescription, instead of a 30 day supply of meds I received just 10. As many know, it's nearly impossible to get in to see a psychiatrist out patient, especially in under 10 days. I phoned the hospital and never received a return call. He washed his hands of me and my meds the minute I walked out the door, and did not take responsibility to fix his own mistake. That was in June, it is now September and I just now got my meds straightened out, no thanks to this guy.

Wonderful, smart, empathetic. Will fight for his patients like no other healthcare professional I’ve seen.

First off he just truly cares. Never rushed me and only gave me genuine answers. He listened and was patient. Took my med list and made really good changes to the point were I have never felt this good. Fully informed me on his plan and how he could help. The big difference was him being honest on what I needed to change for myself. I have seen many docs in psychiatry. Not one of them ever treated me this good. you are in great care when you see him.

Very knowledgeable of a wide variety of psychiatric as well as any physical ailments and necessary treatments. Listens attentively to his patients concerns and questions about ailments or medications. He is compationately aware that some patients may struggle through treatment but continues to helps his patients without judgement. You will quickly feel comfortable with Mr. Boersman allowing for a honest and top notch treatment plan.

Stephen Boersman is by far the best Psychiatric Practitioner I’ve had the good fortune to have help me with my psychiatric needs.. He cares about his patients. He is compassionate, and respectful., listening to what you have to say, never rushing through an appointment. It is rare now days to find a Psychiatric Practitioner with the standards Stephen Boersman NP, has.

An excellent provider who is working on getting the number of medications down while still controlling my conditions. Very knowledgeable about all medications and keeping up with new medications. He listens to my concerns and addresses them.I would definitely recommend.

Excellent provider who displays care and compassion for patients. Easy to talk to and good listener. Discussed medication options with me and explained pros and cons, as well as general info. Offered other non drug solutions as well, and monitored progress. The only drawback has to do with the office staff where he is currently practicing. They are awful, rude and incompetent, and I was not allowed to leave voice or email messages for him. Messages left with the staff were not delivered.
