"Ghosted" by my first therapist
Sonya was the first therapist I ever talked to so she knew I was nervous & unsure about it. I initially liked her, but as we had a few more sessions I noticed she didn't seem to remember things I had talked about in previous sessions so I didn't feel listened to. She also just kept recommending the same thing every session - stretching to release anxiety - which really didn't help me. Then when I tried to schedule our next session, she just never responded. Someone who ghosts a therapy client, especially one they know is uneasy about this new unfamiliar process to them, should not be allowed to be a therapist. She did more harm than good.
